This application is intended for principal investigators who are interested in conducting interventional or observational studies using the OneFlorida+ Clinical Research Network’s infrastructure, which includes the clinic network and the OneFlorida+ Data Trust, including patient-level data. The OneFlorida+ Research Infrastructure Utilization Application
OneFlorida+ Research Studies
All applications to use the OneFlorida+ Clinical Research Network undergo rigorous review. A research study may be considered to be a OneFlorida+ study if it meets one or more of the following criteria and is reviewed and approved by the OneFlorida+ Executive Committee:
- Is patient-centered
- Focuses on the scientific mission of OneFlorida+ Clinical Research Network
- Uses one or more health systems that comprise the OneFlorida+ Clinical Research Network, or uses the OneFlorida+ Data Trust and/or the practice-based research network and/or OneFlorida+ infrastructure/resources
Priority will be given to studies that are strong in the following categories:
- Scientific rationale or merit
- Impact
- Feasibility
- Potential for funding
- Patient-centeredness
- Novelty/Avoidance of duplication
Application Review Process
- The complete application will be reviewed by the OneFlorida+ Front Door team.
- Principal investigators, CRN directors and/or Data Trust faculty and staff will meet to discuss your study’s unique needs and network resources.
- The application will undergo review to establish budget, feasibility assessments, approval letter and scientific review.
- Please allow up to 45 days to receive your Letter of Support. Applications received less than 30 days from Letter of Support due date may receive a Letter of Noncommittal.
The time to receive the Letter of Support largely depends on:- Type of project you are planning,
- The level of information you are requesting,
- When you submit your application relative to the Executive Committee Meeting, and
- Study team’s responsiveness to OneFlorida+’s questions.
- The application will then be sent to the OneFlorida+ Executive Committee for final approval.
- The OneFlorida+ Front Door team will provide the data package and/or letter of support, as appropriate.
Please note that approval times for interventional projects or projects requiring PHI from partner sites may vary as these must receive both Executive Committee and individual partner approval.
