Dr. Byron Powell is the Associate Dean for Research and Associate Professor at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), with secondary appointments in the School of Public Health and the School of Medicine. His work focuses on improving the quality of health services by strengthening organizational and system capacity to implement evidence-based practices, and on advancing methods for developing and evaluating implementation strategies. He co-directs WashUs Center for Mental Health Services Research and its Dissemination and Implementation Science Innovation Research. His research has been funded primarily by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and he has authored more than 180 publications. Dr. Powell has been recognized as a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher and one of Stanford University-Elseviers Worlds Top 2% Scientists, and is a standing member of NIHs Science of Implementation in Health and Healthcare Study Section. He is a former President of the Society for Implementation Research Collaboration and is Co-Editor-in-Chief of Implementation Research and Practice.
