Partners provide health care to more than 26 million patients.
A new website, https://onefl.net/, shares the updated vision of the OneFlorida+ Clinical Research Network. It replaces the former website of https://onefloridaconsortium.org/ and its reference to the previous name of “consortium” instead of “network.” As the network moves into Phase 4 of its infrastructure, the new website will serve as an active resource for investigators to request collaboration, find information for grant applications and stay updated on processes and procedures.

“The growth that we have experienced in OneFlorida+ has been incredible,” says Brittney Roth Manning, the Director of Research and Operations. “Within the last two years we’ve added four new partners and continue to receive requests for collaboration. It is so exciting to know our outreach can impact patients throughout the U.S.”
The main purpose of the network is to advance health improvements by facilitating research and collaboration with real-world electronic medical records. Such studies include pragmatic clinical trials, comparative effectiveness, implementation science and cohort discovery that can incorporate millions of patients. Since 2015, the OneFlorida+ repository of healthcare data has supported hundreds of scientific publications.
Expansion Beyond Florida
The network added the plus-sign to its name in 2021 as it had expanded outside of its original collection of Florida’s 67 counties. Geographically it covers parts of Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, California and Minnesota.
The network’s partners include 17 systems or universities and two of Florida’s health agencies. Combined, these partners provide health care to more than 26 million patients.
Because of the size of the OneFlorida+ Data Trust, this network enables novel and highly rigorous research with large sets of patients. For example, the ADAPTABLE aspirin study recruited more than 15,000 trial participants after collecting records from 450,000 eligible people.
Network of Networks
The OneFlorida+ Clinical Research Network is one of eight partners affiliated with The National Patient-Centered Clinical Research Network (PCORnet). Funding for OneFlorida+ comes from several sources: Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI); University of Florida-Florida State University Clinical and Translational Science Institute; and National Institutes of Health.

The coordinating center for the network and its website are based at the University of Florida’s Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics (see website footer for its location).
The new website offers a streamlined experience, starting with a prominent orange button at the top of every page for the Front Door.
If you find any problems with the website, or wish to provide ideas for improvement, please email the network at OneFloridaOperations@health.ufl.edu or use the site’s Contact form on the Contact page.
