OneFlorida is one of 12 network collaborators nationwide participating in a series of studies to explore the feasibility of using real-world data and real-world evidence in the medical device industry.
The National Evaluation System for Health Technology Coordination Center (NESTcc) launched these test cases to increase safety, improve effectiveness and lower health care costs. Other collaborators include Mayo Clinic, Yale, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, DukeHealth, and PEDSnet to name just a few. Together, these collaborators represent more than 195 hospitals and 3,942 outpatient clinics, and have access to over 494 million patient records.
Established in 2016, NESTcc supports the sustainable generation and use of timely, reliable, and cost-effective real-world evidence throughout the medical device lifecycle, and the use of real-world data generated by patients, providers, and payers to enhance regulatory and clinical decision-making.
